Wiesław Baryła, Ph.D., specializes in psychology of social cognition, evolutionary psychology, automatic social behavior, and behavioral economics. His research and publications focus on finding the meaning in life and automatic social behaviors.
In his book Pieniądze w umyśle. Jak myślenie wpływa na motywację (Money on one’s mind. How thinking impacts motivation) (2013), he described how thinking about money impacts motivation to undertaking action, sexual drive, and aggression.
He is a member of the European Association of Social Psychology, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Polish Society of Social Psychology (PSPS).
At SWPS University, he teaches classes in social psychology, methodology of psychological research and psychometrics.
